Multiple Artists Picture Book Gallery of the Reader Collection of Japanese Flower-and-Bird Art

A picture book entitled Meika Gafu (i.e., Picture Album by Celebrated Artists) was edited by Tōkei Mano and published in 1814. It included the thirty-four pictures of flowers and (or) birds shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. These pictures were drawn mostly by 18th century artists from a number of different Japanese painting schools.
